COLD WEEKEND

HELLO , to all my friends on this icy cold day , but there is life in the garden today .
We had a beautiful family of long tail tits come to visit today , very shy little friends so sorry no photo maybe next time.
Also a lone crocus came out in the week and said hello.
The sun is now shining on this frosty morning.

I am happy to see some old friends coming back to blog land we have missed them .

Thank you again for the many lovely comments and it is lovely to spend a few moments to talk to you.

I have been busy sorting out this week loads of bags some from my dads house and lots of paper work from the past few years I hate this job but need to make some room so we can change one of the bedrooms into a office .
It will take a couple of months to go through it all. I have two cupboards that are full of who knows what ! ha. My DH said he would do it but there maybe cross stitch charts in there I have not seen for a few years and he would just throw it all out with out looking and I can't have that can I !
I have already found some very interesting things and some old photos.

But today is my day off on Saturday I try not to do any work I don't even cook , I call it my free day we all need one of these.

Ok back to my stitching , this is one by Dany .

Trefle et Brin de muguet  by Danybrod , stitched on a pearl grey 32ct Murano by Zwigart.

I stitched this little thimble for Lynda's Birthday .
By Les Brodeuses Parisiennes.

I think you seen this one before I stitched the middle gingerbread man and the others were stitched in a R/Robin.

Comes in very useful at Christmas time .

And a few flowers cut from the garden .

I said to my DH I really miss my flowers and next day he brought me these to lift me in these dull days of winter .
Bless him .

Have a lovely week all , until next time Hugs and xxx.

  1. Oh, your finishes are so sweet. You've matched everything perfectly. It's strange to see spring flowers blooming so early. I do hope the heavy frosts don't kill them off. :)

  5. Love the stitching and those flowers...I think before the new visitor to our garden destroys all the Marigolds I may pick a few to take inside. Finally we are having a little warm up so that we may be able to uncover some of the plants. Our winters are not sooo cold, but enough that the garden is spoiled by warm/hot weather 7 months.

  28. A great idea from you to have one free day during the week where you even don't cook. I should do that as well as I don't like cooking. And let my husband do the cooking on that one day. He can do spaghettis, so we wouldn't starve, lol.
You have stitched and finished two adorable smalls. They are both so beautiful. That gingerbread table cloth is just perfect for Christmas.
Colorful flowers are always a treat on cold and snowy days. When I look outside I only see white, so I will pull out something colourful to stitch today.

  31. What a nice post, June--full of pretty soft colors in your lovely stitching :) The shades of green in that trim packet are wonderful! That will be a very sweet finish. And speaking of sweet--how nice of your husband to bring you home those gorgeous tulips--he's a keeper, I'd say!!

Things are very cold here, too (-22C!!) yesterday morning--ugh!! We may be in for our first big snowstorm of the year this weekend. I'm hoping we get it so work will be cancelled on Saturday--ha ha!!

    Enjoy your day, my friend!
