Oh it's been all go this last week so busy , and the last two days I worked in the garden after the storms they have come alive .
I have not had so much time to do many things for myself , but I have started my GGD cardigan and finished the back of my top.
I have also been working on a few Easter cards Christmas stitching .
But I did finish something for myself , my little work boxes that is by my side each day if I get the chance to sew was looking a little sad , so I looked in my box of stitching ( yes a box full ready to finish
stitching ) and I found just the right top .
So here it is
It's nice to look at when stitching .
This was a free chart from our lovely friend Ele , you will find Ele's design @ busyhandscraft -my craft blog.Or down my side bar.
I also opened a sweet card and gifts from a sweet friend of mine we have been pen-pales for a long time . She is so kind and sweet and is much better that I am with dates .
Thank you my dear sweet friend Nancy you never forget .
Well yes it's our Anniversary again , do you know how many years ?
Are you ready for this 55 years of wonderful married life this week.
We have had a ball we have had Fun , Tears , Happy times , Sad times , Worrying times we have fulfilled so many of our dreams . We have been around alot of the country and the world together and on business we worked together , ran a hotel build our own dream home . Then sold it a few years later my girls were teenagers and wanted a bit more to do at night . So we moved to where we are today .

I love lilies of the valley.
I join in the prayers for those poor people who are victims of a horrible and incredible war.

Congratulations to you and your DH on this special anniversary - I hope you spend a happy week together doing things you both enjoy. Thank you for sharing your photos with us all. I love your very perfect sewing box top, very pretty. As you mention, lots of sadness in the News with the Russian invasion and now so many Ukranians seeking refuge in other countries - always something sad and worrying to think about.

55 years!! That is wonderful, June--wishing you and Ron all the best and many more happy, healthy years together. It sounds like you've had a wonderful life together although I know have had some sad times, too. But, that is life and you're still together and still smiling :)
ReplyDeleteYour new box cover is perfect! Such a great idea to dress up a plain box--I'll have to try that idea! I'm glad your garden is growing and that you have that and your stitching to help soothe the pain of watching the sadness in Ukraine. I just cry when I watch the news coverage. Especially the poor little children saying goodbye to their fathers. Do take care, my friend ♥
Congratulations on your Emerald Anniversary! My parents celebrated that one the year before last. I delayed having my family so no GGC yet!
ReplyDeleteI love the design you stitched for your box top. I seem to remember saving the charts but not stitching it.
