August Tomorrow .

 Hello all,

Yes it's August tomorrow ,  but it is like a September day .

We had a few weeks of lovely sunshine in June but it was so hot you could not sit outside .

Now it's still damp and raining and cool  ,and one night it was so cold we had blankets around our legs ! I can't get my head around this year at all , time is rushing away with the year and the seasons are just not the same anymore .

Ok another busy week for me so not much progress to show you .

But first up is one of Dany's designs  I have now made into a little pin cushion , for a sweet friend of mine , Sorry it's a dark photo , it was dull today.

And for Martina's Birthday , I stitched a card  of Lavender From an old magazine .

I have been reading more the last week , I could not put this one down .

                  Thank you Karen .

And I brought some books for Summer I have not started yet I was hoping to read these this year in the summer months !

Just right for the summer ? if we get a summer  !

We just may go into Winter next you never know with our weather.

But I do feel for those people who have had wild fires nothing worse .

We have had lots more butterflies this year and a humming bird moth .

The garden still keeps growing , plants are loving the rain and cooler weather so its  not all  bad.

Have a happy week all .Enjoy your stitching and crafts .

I will leave you with more garden photos .

                                                                       Day lilies .

Tomatoes are beautiful and sweet I pick them when they go red  I have to be quick
                                   before hubby eats them

  1. I'm sorry you aren't having the best summer weather-wise, June! It seems our climates have changed places because we've had way more sun than normal and little rain. At least your flowers are happy!

Love the pretty pink pillow and the card for Martina. At least you have some lovely indoor hobbies like reading and stitching to get you through the gloomy days! Happy August to you ♥

  2. Your garden just beams .... what is the paint color of your garden trellis and
seat? A perfect foil for garden bursts of color.

  3. November style summer isn't it June, it just seems no end to the rain. The reservoirs will be full and yes the wild fires must be very frightening. Lovely stitching, enjoy your reading.

  5. Dear June, Two small finishes, very cute ;-) Europe seems to have the wildest weather. The heatwave and fires in the south and endless rain where you are. We have perfect summer weather this year, no extreme heat so far but also no rain. I have to water my garden every day ;-( But that is normally the case here in the summer. Just that the dry periods are longer every year.
I just read the water around Key West (Florida) reached 38 C and the corals are dying :-((
    Sending you some sunshine,
    Ursula

  6. Le jardin profite de la pluie mais pour nous c'est décevant.
J'ai l'impression d'être au mois de novembre : froid, pluie et grisaille toute la journée.
Espérons que les beaux jours reviennent !

  7. Hello June,
your newest finish is beautiful. I like the little beads in the center of the roses.
We have the last 10 days a lot of rain. For the garden and the flowers it is okay. I like the temperature. It is not to hot.
The last 14 days I read two books.
    Have a nice day, Manuela

  10. Very cute pin cushion! I hope you get to read your books soon but maybe you shouldn't wait for summer or you may not ever get to them! N

I have never heard of a hummingbird moth so I looked it up. Very interesting body they have. Now I am going to see what else I can find out about them!

  12. Everything looks wonderful dear June - especially your garden photos which I enjoy so much. A wicked frost here this morning & minus 1 temps so a cold start but a blue sky above. Sorry I am late to comment but our internet has been playing up all week. xx

  14. I’ve been noting the daily temperature for my Temperature SAL and July was cooler than June which is most unusual. I don’t mind the cooker temperature but the rain is annoying, it should only rain at night!
Lovely pillow finish and a sweet card too. I want more lavender in my garden.
    Serendipitous Jo
