Jubilee .

This week will be the Queen's Jubilee , 70 YEARS our Queen

What a wonderful lady she gave her lifetime to our country .

So there will be parties in the street all over the UK we have been invited to a few so it will be a busy few days .

I also want to watch the show on Saturday night at the palace .

It will be good for the people after Covid to have some fun.

Well today we have rain good for the garden save us watering . We also have had some wonderful sunshine , so the  weather could not be better right now.

At this time of the year I try and make a few gifts for friends . I look around the shops to see what I can buy that  I could fit some cross stitch to it .

So I have a boxful of goodies that will keep me going all year.

So here is what I made this week , with just  a box of notelets .

I just used an old bit of material , found the chart in a very old mag , and matched the colours .

fitted on to some board and used some old edging  , a bow and a rose and bingo a gift.

P

I am now working on the next gift ,
--------------------
It's to wet out side so here in my kitchen
are a few flowers I cut a few days ago

Now the White Peony with the red inside .
It's  my dear granddads plant .
Then it was growing in my father's  garden
So it  is many years old maybe well over 70 year or more
I thought I had lost it but it's just flowered again .

Happy days with Grandfather .
I was always in the garden.
That's where my love of gardening came from.

I know some of you have already seen this photo .
I must dig out more .

And my father always had a beautiful garden

So now it's in my garden .

It gave me  lovely flowers this year .

And now my first strawberry .

Yes it's gone and it was so sweet and yummy .
More are almost ready now .
Enjoy your week .
