Well not long now, the weeks are rushing by, are you ready for the big day, I am getting there after very busy weeks . This morning we had coffee with friends out and did a gift swap at the same time.
It's so lovely to get with friends at this time of the year , when you only get in touch by phone or email most of the year.
Also good to spend time with our family again after we all lead busy lives.
I do have some stitching to show , and some lovely stitched cards and gifts .
Oh it has been bitter cold the last week, and now it's milder with heavy rain and strong winds not sure what I like best , cold or rain . Our poor garden birds are not happy when the water is frozen so we have been trying to keep them fed and watered . I have not fully decorated this year we have cut down a little .
I have planned to join in Martina's and Manuela's stitch along for the New Year looking forward to this .
I will make other plans also for the New Year , which will include rotating my UFOs , and some new stitching of charts I want to stitch , so lets see how I get on .
So I did get to finish this UFO .
A LA BELLE ETOILE by C Mon Monde .
DMC threads and material was from a large bag
gifted to me years ago .
From my dear friend Sheryl , thank you so much my sweet friend .
Thank you all who sent cards and gifts I will be back this week to show more .
I love my blogging family you are such loving and caring friends .
See you again in a few days time .
Such lovely cards and presents. It’s always nice to receive Stitchy goodies in the post.
ReplyDeleteMy bird bath froze completely so I got a silver foil tray intended for sandwiches at buffets and used that instead. Because it’s shallow, I was able to lift the ice circle out each morning and refill with fresh water. I made a pile of ice sculptures with the circles!
Serendipitous Jo

Oh June, A LA BELLE ETOILE is gorgeous! Your gifts are lovely my friend! Stay warm! It is frigid here right now.
ReplyDeleteDear June,
ReplyDeleteyes, thank god i'm now finished with all the preparations for christmas. The last few days have been very "exhausting" from one christmas party to the next, after the long pandemic break from all the festivities we have enjoyed it very much.
I like your winter cross stitch picture very much, also you got beautiful embroidered christmas cards.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing your embroidery.
Your finish is lovely and you received so many beautiful gifts and cards!
ReplyDeleteDear June,
ReplyDeleteyoou have completed a very magical new embroidery, I like the motif very much.
And you got such nice Christmas-cards, unfortunately mine isn't there ;-)
Merry Christmas to you and your family, hugs, Jutta
I do love your latest finish, June--the fabric is so perfect for it as the white shows up so well! And what great gifts. I'm so glad you liked my card. I fell in love with that robin and am already stitching him for gifts for next year. Trying to get my gift stitching done early for a change as it is too stressful at the end of the year. My goal is to have my gifts stitched by my birthday in January. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteI mailed my last card yesterday so, yes, I am done. I look forward to relaxing now other than cooking dinner on Christmas Eve for my husband, middle son and his girlfriend. Wishing you and Ron a lovely Christmas weekend with a chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy the magic of the season, June! ♥
