Hello all,
I was so looking forward to a rest this weekend , but no we have been out and about all weekend.
Also the football season starts which we both love to watch .
My daughter was off for a week , so we took her out to lunch , and to buy her a birthday gift for her on coming Birthday .
She wanted a fish tank ! I can see why , they had some beautiful ones when they are set out look so beautiful .
So the purse is now empty , we brought her every thing . the extras were more than the tank .
She also had some beautiful little fish the colours were amazing .
I think she will have many happy hours watching these fish .
We had a tank once and would spend many an hour watching them .
One night I stayed up all night , one of the fish was having babies so I was having to put them a little side net so the bigger fish did not eat them .
I would not have the time now days to do this , and after my little dog Poppy died we agreed no
more pets .
We are pet free after having pets for many years . I must say I do miss my pets but they would be a tie now with our life style .
So this week a did get chance to stitch a Christmas one .
Whimsy thoughts by Helga Mandi .
It was easy to stitch I found the design in an old mag , the gift of stitching , Issue 47
December 2009 . I have a big box of Material that was given to me so not sure what the material is looks like 28cnt .
I am just going to keep stitching Christmas untill I have enough ornaments for family and friends , then I will start making them up when summer has gone .
Garden is still growing flowers coming out all the time , so I will leave you with some happy thoughts with photos outside , Enjoy your new week .

ReplyDeleteIt's been a busy time for you June. I hope your daughter enjoys the new fish tank, my daughter had one several years ago and it was just lovely watching the fish. The little reindeer is so cute, lovely stitching. Have a wonderful week xx
ReplyDeleteI used to have an aquarium, even moved twice with me, then we gave it away after all. We have had little dwarf rabbits for 15 years. I don't like being completely without a pet. A nice large birdcage with small finches is also nice.
ReplyDeleteA cute little Christmas ornament.
Beautiful flowers.
have a good week
Hugs, Martina
The little Christmas motif looks great. The little rendeer is very cute.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful flowers in your garden as always.

Another beautiful post dear June. I think fish tanks are wonderful & I too could watch them all day long. My son used to have a big one & I found it very soothing to watch. Flowers are so lovely - thank you June xx
ReplyDeleteHello June: Aquariums are so much fun watching the fish dart and swim.

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little Christmas piece, June! I bet your daughter is loving her fish tank--there is something very calming about watching them swim about. My doctor's office has one and it really relaxes me in the waiting room :) Beautiful flowers as always! We are pet-free, too. I miss having a cat now and then, but it is just so easy to pick up and go any time we want to and not worry about finding a pet carer. Maybe when I'm in my 80s and not traveling any longer, I'll get another :) Enjoy your day! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy aunt and uncle had a huge saltwater tank in their wall, it looked like a moving picture, it was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat reindeer will be a sweet ornament. How many do you think you'll have to stitch?
More lovely flowers.
An aquarium is a nice thing to have and the fish are pretty easy to take care of. No walking, no shots, minimal clean up. Hope your daughter has a great birthday! Do you only have the one child? I like your Reindeer ornament. I always forget about that magazine. I bought them as downloads so they must be on my backup drive. Have a wonderful week June!
ReplyDeleteWe had fish when the children were young. We also had guppies, and we had one give birth. Such fun with all the babies. :) Your flowers made me smile.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching June, and your flowers.... so beautiful. It's always a pleasure to take a walk in your garden. How nice of you to give your daughter an aquarium. It's a wonderful hobby. My dad used to keep one when I was a child and I spent many many hours watching the fishes, So colourful and curious creatures.
