First Frost .

Well we had our first frost of the year the other day and it's gone so cold, I just gave in and put the heating on .

So now it's time to pull out the fluffy socks and warm fluffy PJs also warm tights .

I don't do cold I only like warm . So now I am only going out into the garden on sunny days , most of it is tidy for now .

I also need to get going on knitting  a few baby coats hats  mittens  also a blanket . So yes I need to

get started . I did finish the fingerless gloves  all finished .

I have also stitched a few Christmas cards up to but  I can't show you yet.

Good job I have these ready now .

OCTOBER is a funny month can be warm and cold .

It seems only  just a few weeks now sitting in the sunshine on holiday , then we go to lunch and what do we see,

Yes Christmas every where that made me worry .

But hubby loved it and pushed all the buttons so we could dance ha.

But here's a warning it's just around the corner .

See you next week with some stitching , have fun

  2. Hello June: Your header is beautiful, October can be cold or warm here lucky today is warmer, last week very cold, I am not a cold person I like the hot weather.
Love the October design so sweet, yes Christmas is near, Walmart has Christmas decorations out since August that is too early for me, I do not shop walmart but see their ads.

  3. Hello June, that was quick... I just commented on you post with the beginnings of you gloves and just in time for the first frost they are finished!
Quite frankly having Christmas decorations in the stores in October is ridiculous. Here they started already at the end of September! All that does to me is make me tired of it before December arrives!
    Stay warm;-)

  4. Oh no, cold already - BOO! I think I am the same as you. I can't take the cold anymore and bundle up constantly at home. Even in the summer as in my opinion they have the AC on to cold for me! Looks like you are getting ready with your gloves! Have a great week.

  8. Ici également le froid est de retour.
    J'aime beaucoup les mitaines tricotées.
Je pense que je vais en refaire.
Bonne semaine au chaud et gros câlins

  9. Dear June,
how nice and fluffy your embroidered things look, very good, so you are prepared for the cold season. Here in Berlin too it was warm at first and then very cold, this weather will probably stay.
You can already buy Christmas cookies everywhere in the supermarkets, but the decorations don't start until the end of November, how funny, Christmas in October.
    Hugs, Jutta

  10. I'm so surprised you had a frost already, June! We haven't and I always think of our area as a colder climate than yours. Hope it warms up again.

Your new little finish is so cute! I'd actually much rather see Christmas decorations in the stores than Halloween. Some of those Halloween things are just too scary--especially if a child happens to walk by and see them at the store! I can't wait to walk through the Christmas aisles when we see my grandson next month--he'll love everything! Enjoy your week ♥

  11. Hi June, your gloves have turned out lovely and just in time by the sounds of it! Our weather had been nice and sunny but its turned cold again and been raining quite heavy. That's a NZ spring for you! How quickly Christmas is coming, already half way through October. Have a good week, hugs xx

  14. Your hand warmers are great, I like them, they warm your hands and the fingertips are still free, which is very practical.
We also had the first frost, so I protected my Dipladenia a little more. It's supposed to go into winter quarters next weekend.
    Sweet little October finish.
    Enjoy your time,
    Martina

  16. Hi June: The fingerless gloves are lovely, a beautiful color.
The October design is a sweet finish.
I have seen Christmas in many stores way back in August, sad that they have to exploit Christmas that way.
