Lovely Autumn sunshine here this week.
So yes, I have been outside planting some wall flowers and a few bulbs.
I am still getting buckets of leaves up to, digging and cutting back my roses and clematis.
My Iris are coming up already waiting to bloom in the Spring.
I have also been out Christmas shopping and I have wrapped some of my gifts already, so I am very Infront this year, only last year I was so late and little stressful and I don't do stress if I can help it.
So yes, I feel good and pleased with myself.
The birds think it's Spring with this mild weather and are so tame pecking soil around my feet as I am working.
The garden centres already have some beautiful displays, I must take some photos next time I go to show you.
I can't believe it was only 4 weeks ago we were just coming back from holiday.
We had our flu jab when we got back and need our covid one which is booked in now.
I am enjoying my stitching knitting and reading right now and can't wait to do a puzzle in the new year.
Hubby and I have had our family trees done, so I want to start writing everything down and setting it all out on a roll of paper with photo's where I can. This has been a dream of mine for years, it's mind blowing to.
So, this week a new UFO popped out of my bag. This one I started for hubby the other year and it needs to be finished.
Robins found in a cross-stitch crazy mag I found a few years ago. They look just like the robins that come into our garden.
Ok you were all right it is a Teddy Bear by Lesley Teare I love working on him he is a cute one.
Still working on my Christmas Sentiment by Magic Needle. I love this one just my colours .
Wishing you all a wonderful week, I am still working in the garden most days, until it gets too cold.
Then I can do a little more stitching now winter is on its way, I am sure this lovely weather won't stay much longer.
Beautiful photos as always June ... just love your posts. I wrapped two Christmas gifts yesterday & I was so surprised & also pleased with myself! I hope to be much more organised this year too - it comes along so fast. xx
ReplyDeleteHi June: What a wonderful idea to do your Family Tree, I am looking forward to hearing how it is going.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching as always.
The floral photos are beautiful.
We are having warm weather also, it should be in the 30s during the day nope in the 60s.
Catherine
Dear June, with various stitchings you won't get bored ;-)) The birds and the rosehips remind me of rosehip jam. Do you have that in England? My grandmother bought it once in a while. It's a lot of work to make and it was quite expensive. But it tasted wonderful. Good memories!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the lovely weather,
Ursula
Hi June, yes it is a mild autumn this year. We had mild temperatures and I could sit on the terrasse the whole October. Can you imagine, my rhodos are blooming! Crazy.
ReplyDeleteI am ready with all my stitching for Christmas. Very early for me. But after my surgery I had much time. Now I have no stress, feel fine and happy.
The gardener is there and makes my garden ready for winter.
Wish you a wonderful week and send warm wishes. Till next time.
My husband also writes a family tree and his family website has information from the last 100 years, it's incredibly exciting what you can find there. Good luck with your search.
ReplyDeleteyour motive for your husband is so cute, i already like it very much.
It's also very mild here today, but there will be a bit of rain, the flowers are happy.
enjoy your week
Martina
We woke up to a little snow on the ground last week, now it's warm & in the 60's, 70's again.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy for November!

It sounds like your weather is a lot like ours, June--very warm for early November! I'm glad you are still able to work in your garden. We are just raking leaves here--lots and lots of leaves have fallen recently.
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching especially the sweet robins--your husband will love them. I'm so glad you're enjoying your genealogy project--you just never know what interesting facts you'll find, do you?
Hope November is a wonderful month for you ♥
Your robins are lovely. I am sure you get plenty in the garden with all your beautiful flowers.

You sound very organised going into the darker months, I have done none of my Christmas shopping yet. Good you've had your flu vaccination. Lovely photos, we still have a few blooms out.
