September .

Feeling cooler , this last week .

Autumn is on it's way I like Autumn with the beautiful colours  , but I don't like the cold damp weather any more ,

I do find I enjoy cosy nights and stitching more . So I am going to make a few plans for  Autumn , I will sort out my winter stitching next month , rotating my larger winter stitching work and stitching a few gifts and cards . I will try and hold back on starting to many new projects , but not promising this will happen.

We have had a beautiful Summer but it passed far to quick . and the nights are starting to draw in and get darker early . It's great we have something to look forward to with all the doom and gloom across the world . We went to the British legion  a few weeks ago for VJ day , it was lovely we had a cream tea , and we had a  couple singing all the old songs from the 40s we even all got up to dance .

It is getting cold at night. We are having a few changes in the garden , and Hubby and GS have done a great job . One of our lawns will be going next year , down to two, less work great idea.

So a little more progress on one of my Christmas stitching WIPs .

This is what it will look like.

Lots of stitching so will take a long time

                           CHRISMAS INTERIOR .BY lucas .

I did buy it a few years ago , allot of stitching so may take a few years to stitch. I had already started it and now a few more stitches have been put in.

And a sweet stitch the chart was from  my stitching mag a few weeks ago.

It is so sad to say goodbye to my lovely flowers but the end of the month will be bulb time .

Have a good week and enjoy any sunny days.

  4. Oh yes, what a shame that summer is coming to an end. It's getting dark far too early, and I don't want to turn on the lamp yet.
How beautiful the Christmas stitching looks. Big projects take time.
Have a great start to September,
    Martina

  8. Autumn is already here, even where we are, but hopefully there will still be many beautiful days with sunshine.
Your Christmas embroidery looks very cosy, with the warming fire in the fireplace and the beautiful tree....

  9. I always love seeing that pretty Christmas design you're working on, June! And I just printed out that tiny piece from the magazine last week--I love the color combination. Your plans for winter stitching sound good. I need to do some of that as I'd like to get back to some larger pieces again. Hope you still have some weeks of beautiful flowers appearing in your garden. Have a wonderful week ahead! ♥
